Midwives regularly monitor the health of mother and baby during pregnancy. Your midwife will discuss with you the different types of delivery that are available, including home delivery.
After the baby is born, the midwives have a professional responsibility for the wellbeing of both mother and baby, and will visit you at home regularly for up to 28 days.
The midwife team consider themselves privileged to ‘accompany’ you during such a special experience.
If you need to contact a midwife please telephone 07876 351682 (9-4) or the Community Midwives at Jessops Hospital on 0114 226 8301 (7:30 - 3:30pm), 24 hr contact number for Jessops Hospital 0114 226 8091 or the Practice on 0114 263 6100.
